Imported by ourselves as a foal in 1991, Classic-Maidan is the only direct tail-male descendent in the UK of the world famous "elite stallion" Kaisoon, whose "look" and extreme desert type Maidan passes on consistently to his offspring along with his own fantastic movement and lots and lots of attitude. Maidan is a horse of commanding presence whose sire ended his days at Count Zichy-Thyssen's ZT Arabians in Argentina whilst his dam Toka won International Championships on both occasions that she was shown and was also the dam of Paris Top Five mare UP Tammany who was also the 1997 female champion at the Egyptian Event Europe. Toka's sire El Moutawakil was out of a full sister of Ansata Bint Bukra and by Sameh the sire of US National Champion Mare Serenity Sonbolah and of Sultann the sire of US National Reserve Champion Park Horse Sakr the sire of Nabiel. Maidan's grandsire the ultra-typey and tragically short lived elite stallion Maymoon was a maternal half brother of the elite stallion Messaoud sire of the late Imperial Madheen. During his short life Maymoon (who was never shown himself) sired over 25 National and International Champions and 3 winners of the demanding German Stallion Licensing Shows. Straight Egyptian mares of intense *Morafic and/or Ansata breeding since he
carries the blood of neither, the cross results in a combination of exotic
